What’s Changing?
Key Updates Include:
- Unified Navigation: same side navigation for all products.
- Personalisation Options: light/dark mode, custom branding and adjustable columns for a workspace that suits you.
- Custom Dashboards & Tiles: create and configure contractor dashboards and create your own tiles.
- Cross Company Search: one search bar that works across the whole software- not just specific pages.
- Modern Navigation: updated icons, quick add options, and favourites available consistently across products.
- Enhanced Bulk Processing: tick box selection and streamlined actions to simplify payroll.
- Simplified Employee Details: A more concise view with key information in one place.
This is primarily a refreshed look and feel. Some features have been fine-tuned or removed to create a smoother, more intuitive user experience. The main navigation bar remains familiar but has now been repositioned to the left-hand side.
Navigating Between Products
The navigation bar has an updated design and now sits alongside the side controls for quicker access. Within each product, all navigation tools are clearly organised on the left-hand side-making it easy to navigate and find what you need.

Bring Your Brand to the Forefront
Admins can now upload logos and set custom colours in both light and dark modes. This gives your interface a personalised, professional look, keeping your brand front and centre while you work.

Branding Colours
Choose your branding and header colours manually or use the pipette tool for an exact match. Then select grey, black, or white text to keep everything clear and readable—without compromising your custom style.

Customisable Dashboards & Tiles
Admin logins can now create tailored dashboards for contractors with personalised tiles, arranged exactly how you want. Need to tweak later? Add, remove, or move tiles anytime to keep the dashboard working seamlessly for you and your contractors.

Cross Company Search
A new search feature at the top of the page lets you find information across the entire system, no more hunting around. It also provides breadcrumbs, so you can easily trace your steps and locate the details you need.
We have also enhanced searches within the lists with upgraded search capabilities. With search templates, advanced filtering and even save search templates, finding data has never been easier.
Quick Controls
The quick add feature is now accessible across all products and is located right next to the cross company search. Set up companies, customers or employees from wherever you are in the system.
Favourites
The favourites feature is now consistent across all products. Simply click the star next to any page title, and it’s added. Clicking into the favourites list allows users to pin key screens for quick access- no digging, no repetition.
Enhanced Bulk Processing
With our improved tick boxes and action button, you can now select all items, or just the ones you need, and apply actions instantly from the drop-down. It’s a smarter, quicker way to handle bulk tasks and simplify your payroll workflow.

Why We’re Making This Update?
We’re giving Kintec a fresh, unified look. The updated interface makes our products faster and easier to use, with a consistent design that reduces the learning curve for admins and agents. With refreshed navigation, smarter dashboards, enhanced search, and custom branding, everything is designed to save you time and put you in control.
What steps do I need to take?
We will be rolling this out in stages, and we will handle the deployment. During the rollout, you can attend a range of webinars designed to guide you through the updates and help you become comfortable with the updated interface.
All users, including contractors, will need to reset their passwords to access the software, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is being introduced for enhanced security.
We encourage you to explore the updated navigation, so your contractors are fully prepared. Use the training companies on your instances to practice and familiarise your team with the new interface.
Your instance will be updated automatically, and you’ll see a “Switch to our new interface (beta)” button at the top, allowing you to toggle between the old and new UI. On first access, you’ll need to set your custom branding and dashboards for your contractors.

Appendix: Rollout Details for the New UI
Access to the new Kintec interface launches on 1st July 2025 and will be rolled out gradually through Q3 and Q4. This phased approach ensures everyone gets the support they need during the transition.
