We are excited to announce the latest update to the JA system, including new features and enhancements. Below, you will find a summary of the updates that have been released:

System Enhancements:
Payroll & Tax Updates
2025-2026 Payroll Changes: All thresholds and calculations for the 2025-2026 tax year have now been added. This enables you to process payrolls for the new tax year and generate payroll illustrations using the latest tax thresholds.
Pension & Payment Enhancements
Nest Pension Integration: JA now integrates directly with Nest Pensions, allowing you to connect your JA instance to your Nest Pensions account. This integration enables seamless submission of employee enrolments and contributions after their postponement period has ended.
Smart Pensions: We have updated the Smart Pensions API integration to resolve issues that previously prevented some clients from submitting pension contributions.
Payroll Processing Enhancements
Payment Items (formerly Regular Payments): The "Regular Payments" tab in the employee record has been renamed to Payment Items. You now have the flexibility to create either recurring or one-off payments.
Recurring payments function as before, pulling through each pay period.
One-off payments are processed in the employee’s next payroll and then automatically removed.
Additionally, you can now suspend and reactivate payment items as needed.
Delete Timesheets: You can now permanently delete incorrect timesheets. If a timesheet is marked as Invalid, a Delete option will appear, allowing its removal from the system.
CIS Enhancements
CIS Debts: You can now add a debt against a subcontractor. The debt will be deducted as a net payment deduction when processing their next payment.
Employee & Data Management
Employee Import Enhancements: We have introduced an additional column in the employee import template, allowing you to specify a margin per employee.
User Experience Improvements
User Interface (UI) Enhancements: A series of UI improvements have been implemented across the application to enhance usability, improve visual design, and streamline the overall user experience.
