KINTEC RELEASE NOTES: MARCH 2026
We are excited to announce the latest update to the Kintec system, including new features and enhancements. Below, you will find a summary of the updates that have been released:
System Enhancements:
Payroll & Tax Updates
- 2026-2026 Payroll Changes: All thresholds and calculations for the 2026-2027 tax year have now been added. This enables you to process payrolls for the new tax year and generate payroll illustrations using the latest tax thresholds.
- Student Loan Plan 5: The new student loan plan 5 has been made available and can now be selected within employee details.
- Changes to SSP: For the 2026/2027 tax year, updates to the Statutory Sick Pay have been introduced. These changes include the removal of waiting days and the adjustments to payment values & thresholds.
- Payroll Year End: With the 6th April fast approaching, we will shortly be sending you our process flow document on how to complete payroll year end for the 2025/26 tax year.
HMRC Messages
- Student Loan Plan 5: The HMRC messages feature has been updated to support the new student loan notices for the new plan 5.
Automatic polling: We are aware that some clients have been having issues with the automatic poll option within the HMRC messages. This has now been resolved.
New User Interface (beta) Improvements
- Umbrella Expenses: When creating a rechargeable expense, a new VAT on VAT option is available. If enabled, VAT will be applied to the total gross expense amount when invoiced. If disabled, VAT will be applied only to the net expense value, meaning the invoice total will be the net amount plus VAT.
- Purchase Invoices: The purchase invoice functionality is now available within the new user interface.
- RTI History: The RTI History has been moved and a new bespoke page has been created. You will now find the HMRC Messages section under the Company section of the menu. New enhanced sorts and searching functionality will make finding data easier than ever.
- Payroll Batch RTI: You now have the ability to download the RTI request for a payroll directly from the posted payroll batch.
- Payments: We have enhanced the initial filter to show batches posted today, within the last four hours, so you can run you payment reports on the most recently run batches.
- Entry Groups: The transaction entry group feature has now been migrated from the old UI, to allow you to manage all of expense options when processing company expenses or bank reconciliations. You will find the Entry Groups under the Books section of the menu.
- Intermediary Reporting: The intermediary reports feature has now been added into the new UI. The intermediary reporting can be found with the intermediary tab within the Reports section.
- User Feedback: In order to enhance the new user interface, we would love to hear what you and your team think. To simplify this, we have added a new and simple give feedback option into the application.
- User Interface (UI) Enhancements: A series of new UI improvements have been implemented across the application to enhance usability, improve visual design, and streamline your overall user experience. This includes updates on how data is shown within the slider menus, improved error and warning messages.
